First let me thank those of you who participated in the nomination process by making your wishes known.
The participation was abysmal, but honestly I don’t know why I thought it would be anything else. Why on Earth did I think the members here would be excited and embrace the idea of getting more involved in the process of deciding who is on the BOD?
And it doesn’t stop there. Four candidates were nominated. Of those four, one declined to run, one accepted the challenge, and the other two have not bothered to respond to my PM asking if they will accept. At this stage I’m inclined to simply appoint the one person that some of you said you wanted and was willing to tell me they would do it.

I told you, the members, that it was your turn to elect a Director. But we can’t have an election with just one candidate. And at this point I’m even wondering if more than 5 members would even VOTE if there was an election.

I’m leaving this topic unlocked. Tell me what you want, because we have things to do and need this process completed before we move on.

Unfortunately, this is the way it is with all organizations. for instance, Churches, large or small, you will find the called doing 90 percent of the work. Many are called, few are chosen. I think that can be pretty much applied to just about any organization.

I think the big question is HOW do the few move forward in such a way so as to accomplish our goals and set our plans into action.

This is only the 2nd week of the new year and I think we’re so excited with what we want to accomplish and put into motion that we are trying to get it all done right away.

I suggest that we do have time and to back off a little and take our time with some of these projects. Prioritize and lesson the load on the over loaded hard working committed people here. There is waaaay toooo much stress.

Linda, I don’t know how you manage to come on line every day, day after day with all the stress in your personal life. You need to find a decent place to live and get that area somewhat stabilized. God I wish I had the money to set you up in a house with all the bells and jangles. But your dealing with more than a human should.

Everyone needs to be aware of one another. How many times has it been pointed out that we are all volunteers and what we do is out of our own skills and passion. We’re not all the same but we have many things in common. The desire to change these laws and make a difference is what motivates all of us workers.

I, personally, love and respect each and every individual here. You are all very very special to me. You have been and are my salvation in this life. We need to love and respect one another in order to survive. It is a MUST. But at the same time, from one family member to another. Slow down some, take care of your personal business as best you can. Rest. Take in a movie, go out to dinner, go for a drive, anything to get your mind off this for a few days. Everything will still be here.

I think the CEO and COO need to back off being so personally involved in projects. You have enough to do. (I know, it’s the availability of others), but you need to be directing as opposed to doing all this work yourselves. You do sooooo much behind the scenes. I think if people knew all that you guys did, they would be astounded. But your only human and overloaded at that. VERY OVERLOADED and that is not a good thing.

Lets slow it down a little so we can catch our breath and re-evaluate everything. More talent is coming.

Hey Sweetie, thats a BIG part of the reason for these committees to get people to do some of the work to free us up to do other things, get things done, and take some of the stress load off of Linda and I.

SOhopeful, the really SCARY thing is that I would not be surprised at all if it was HOPE who said she would be on the bod. IF she gets on, I am sorry, but Sohopeful will then be TOTALLY worthless as a support/advocacy group

But the thing about those people is they are so self absorbed and full of hate that they don’t have self control enough to get very far. I believe they are like the fly on the wall for the most part. They monitor but don’t post. They are not very smart but more evil than anything.

A rainbow was always a sacred symbol of God’s promise not to destroy the earth with floods. Maybe God’s promise was conditional because the world has gone it’s own way and global warming is occuring.

Hey, some of my closest friends are gay (well, I mean we’re not that close…. )
