okay, I’m more or less back in control of myself.
If you haven’t heard already, I’m dealing with people individually in PM’s but I’m still more than a little aggrevated with staff and membership.
First, where’s the support for lets and static for the OK symposium?? Staff, imo, is letting them hang out there when you should be redirecting the effort that’s being put into, for example, the media web site. The symposium has a cut off date - if we don’t get there we lose the opportunity, the web site can wait - it’s not an opportunity that’s going to go away if we don’t make it.
I’ve been told I’m too volitile, almost abusive in my writing. Wanna know sonething - that irritates the hell out of me. It doesn’t affect my resolve to do what I can but if staff and membership can’t tolerate me saying what I think, like the above, then that’s not my problem.
I feel like I got shit on when I kept saying that what B and I had put together was a template for a brochure and I had no intention of spending my time making up brochures for people who were making suggestions regarding the brochures THEY needed.
Membership doesn’t know what needs to be done. ‘We need content for brochures.’ may mean something to you ad me, but why can’t staff list the brochures that you think are needed, suggest some possible content so the members havesoe some idea about the direction you want to go and see if they will take it from there.
I suggested one time that we set up a work are for the individual brochures under the media are of the forum. None can keep track of what’s going on with a brochure when they’re all scattered out across the forum - but obviously that would have introduced a unnecessary level of complexity for the webmaster - wanna know how I feel about that, if it’s too complex to try to set it up so that membership doesn’t have to wade through the entire forum to find a project they can work on then maybe it’s time to rethink what we water membership to do.
And final note, if this is what Cheryl considers my volitlity - too volitile to set in (listen) to staff so I can offer some direction to membership, DO some of what you all keep talking aout then, yep I’m way too volitile and I don’t really care.

ARGGGGG. This really fries my bacon. I get so very tired of people sometimes. You go out of your way to help them and they crap all over you.
Ya know, I am really ready to write this guy off and say he is more trouble than he is worth.
He calls me on the phone and pm’s me and IM’s me. He asks me to tell him the truth and it won’t hurt his feelings.
When I finally DO tell him the truth, that he is too volatile for staff and gets angry too easily, THEN he gets mad and craps all over me. Doesn’t matter that I tell him if he can calm down we would reconsider, or that we love and appreciate him

I DID GIVE SPECIFIC Subjects for brochures. If we do all he wants us to do then I WOULD BE DOING ALL THE WORK MYSELF! This is what the committees were started to avoid, staff being the only ones working.
THERE is TOOO much going on in the United States to concentrate ALL our energies to the ok symposium. It just can’t be done like that. Stuff still happens in the rest of the US. Stuff still happens in the RSO world. This forum still needs taken care of and the people in it. Stupid people still need to be educated. The rest of the country is still passing laws.
IT is not just Cheryl who says he is too volatile. Cheryl has felt sorry for the angry complainer and done everything she can for him. Nothing is good enough, ever! It does not matter how much a person does, some fool is going to complain that you are not doing it the right way, the right time, or working on what THEY want you to work on. It does not matter what you say to some people, they hear what they want to hear. I am tired, SICK and TIRED! IF people want to take their toys and go home when we are doing as much as humanly possible, when we have explained and pleaded and asked for them to HELP US HELP THEM, then screw em. I am a bit tired of being ravaged by our own people.

Just an opinion.
In my very limited posting lately, Al even attacked me in a reply because I seem to have my s–t together better than he does. It was in the “Advocate” thread.
I gave a little history about myself so that others could decide whether or not they wanted me to advocate for them. In his eyes, I was being demeaning. No one else seemed to think so. I certainly did not mean it that way.
I feel that he has way too many unresolved problems for Staff. Even as a member he is a “my way or the highway” person. He wants what he wants and everyone else be damned. He uses other’s names as though he is their spokesman.
Again, just my opinion.
