Right now, only the banner stays. Walter is working on down loading Dr Davidson’s Quick Time Movie and that will give him credit for coining the phrase “God Have Mercy on America.”

I’m going to link to sosen.us and to “Stop It Now.” Also, HRW Any suggestions any other organizations

The front page is going to be primarily statements made by law makers and other prominant people here in Oklahoma in reference to these laws “Doing More Harm Than Good.”

The more of staff that can weigh in on this, the better the site will be.

I think that since the theme is God have Mercy on America, the flag at the top is very appropriate. SO far, so good.

I kind of like the picture of the Supreme Court Justices on the front also. That to me, also seems appropriate.

I’m now ready for content. I think I want to continue with the theme of “More Harm than Good.”

The first button linking to HRW “No Easy Answer.”

Now, comes the part that I need assistance on and that is writing.

I have here a collection of news paper articles (here), http://forum.sosen.us/index.php?board=47.0,
that quote certain law makers and prominent individuals saying “More Harm than Good.” As well as asking for change in these laws.

And that is my big problem, I’m not a writer. Can someone assist me in organizing this info so I have a theme to lead off on for my front page?

Here is the info that I would like to capitalize on for the lead, “More Harm than good” theme. Any assistance will be greatly appriciated. I think this can be a very effective web site for the citizens of Oklahoma.

This is a post I made in National on 1/19/08

WE MUST HAVE COMMUNITY SUPPORT-A MUST READ

What I’m suggesting can be better understood by the following quotes
from different news papers here in Oklahoma.

” More Harm than Good.” It will be geared educating the citizenry of
the state and country. Centered on Family and family values. Families
and children of RFSO’s.

sex offender laws. Especially the AWA and the tier system here in
Oklahoma along with registration and residency restrictions and how
they effect the innocent children and families of RFSO.

Spouses of RFSO speaking out and children, if any want to.

I want to capitalize on statements made by various people who have an
influence with the voters.
We need to write them and give our support

I believe we have a great opportunity to get real national attention
as to these laws and their negative effects of family and society.

20/20 is doing their part and are in the process of doing a special
with Dr DavidSon. For 20/20 they must have an a subject that will
drawl a minimum of 6 million viewers to air that subject.

This can cause law makers to ease up and give the RFSO and families
some breathing room, Society will put pressure on law makers, and in
the end these laws will be declared unconstitutional.
RFSO need to work in the background. Families and spouses need to step
to the fore ground.

I appreciate any input you have.

We need template letters for law makers.

Whatever state your in. Research new bills and especially those law
makers who are opposing harmful bills that are harming innocents.

BRYNE GRANTS

Hi folks,

1) Rally, get me the facts and I’ll post it;

2) My Byrne/JAG Grants page in the research blog is here:
http://sexoffenderresearch.blogspot.com/2007/05/edward-byrne-memorial-state-and-local.html

As it indicates, it is a work in progress, which until Bush cut the
grants we hadn’t done much research about them, although I do know how
the program works (loss would equal 10% of what congress
appropriates).

Now, as to OK, look at this page:
http://www.ok.gov/dac/Federal_Grants/Grants_Available/index.html

Read carefully, they got (2007) 9,000,000 total, but Bush has cut
that by 67% for 2008 (already in the law), see:
http://www.geocities.com/voicism/index.html (center column)

Also note that some lawmakers are trying to get supplemental for 2008
http://sexoffenderresearch.blogspot.com/2008/01/senators-seeking-emergency-funding.html

So, if OK did not implment AWA they would lose 10% of (9,000,000 -67%)
for 2008, unless the supplemental is passed into law (various
lawmakers are asking for different amounts, so have no idea what the
end supplement could be).

I figure next week this will be a hot priority in Congress so watch
news, don’t know what will happen, law enforcement agencies all across
the nation are screaming.

Hope this helps get you started.

Starting over. Walters lap top crashed.

New Link.http://web.mac.com/walter.howard/rod/Home.html

Feel free to modify Heading. It’s only an example.

Here are some thoughts that I’ve suggested to Walter.

me: Cool Start but to tailor it to me and Oklahoma topic, how about something like

Welcome to Rights and Law Network.

This Site is devoted to Informing the American People of The Disparity in Current Law. This site dedicates itself to the Former Sex Offenders that Have Been Murdered since the Enactments of the Sex Offender Public Notification Laws. We Oppose These Laws and Believe they Are Unconstitutional. They Should Not Exist!

Walter: I agree… hold on.
Sent at 1:59 PM on Friday

Walter: okay take a look now.

me: Welcome to the Oklahoma site for citizens against laws that do more harm than good. This site is dedicated to the belief that all human beings are equal in the site of God and the Constitution of the United States.
Sent at 2:02 PM on Friday

Walter: got it.

me: I don’t want to dedicate to sex offenders. I want to get the public on board, dedicating anything to a sex offender will push them away. I want to recruit and educate the public to the fact that these laws do not protect anyone in fact they make matters worse. I want them to see that we are wasteing Billions of their hard earned dollars and getting nothing in return

Walter: Okay, that sounds fine… so what’s the next line after: “Welcome to the Oklahoma site for citizens against laws that do more harm than good. This site is dedicated to the belief that all human beings are equal in the site of God and the Constitution of the United States.”
Sent at 2:05 PM on Friday

me: Well, I thought by quoting the Republican whip, Gus Blackwell and leaving a link to the news paper article might be one way to approach it. In fact there are several people we can quote that leads to the same article. Also, a link to “Stop It Now,” and the HRW Report, “No Easy Answers,” might be a good start.
Sent at 2:08 PM on Friday

Walter: okay, well you can link to the hrw “No easy answers” report, and do it as a complete pdf file. that way people will get the whole thing on their drive.
Sent at 2:09 PM on Friday

me: cool. I think starting out by quoting and linking to what these people (Their elected leaders), are saying is a sound approach. After all, they trust these people up the ying yang.

Walter: okay… go take a look at what we have so far?
Sent at 2:11 PM on Friday

Walter: the pictures can be whatever you want, and so can the text.
Sent at 2:13 PM on Friday

me: I’m sure we will be writing and revising as we go. Delete what you have on the top and substitute it with what I wrote.
Welcome to the Oklahoma site for citizens against laws that do more harm than good. This site is dedicated to the belief that all human beings are equal in the eyes of God and the Constitution of the United States.
Sent at 2:17 PM on Friday

Walter: okay, that’s done… what next.

Walter: You need to get “Three” pictures of what you want on your first page… and also, three paragraphs of the articles you want to link to.
Sent at 2:23 PM on Friday

Walter: short paragraphs, but meaningful, and topic focused.
the, I can create a button to the pages… or a link… where someone can click on the text or picture and go there.
