Just wanted to check-in one last time before hitting the hay and to be sure we were ALL on the same page.

Yesterday, Shirley yanked my ‘keys’ away as Webmaster, after having scared Brian away as co-Webmaster two weeks ago.

Normally, that means nothing. Most have no clue about what I do or don’t do here. My posts (as sober or drunk as they may be) are NEVER jeopardizing our Webspace. I simply do my job (which involves time), and don’t even tell staff when I do things — as staff doesn’t typically understand my ‘technical’ shares.

Occassionally, I weigh in. And, yes, occassionally, I am drunk.

BUT yesterday, Shirley (for the fourth time this year) yanked away my “keys” to the car. I am Webmaster in title only, as SHE has ‘fired’ me. Repeatedly, this is a set-up to oust me. NEVER have I violated any trust as a member of sosenSTAFF, nor the Webmaster.

This last time, Shirley has gone out of her way in ‘discharging’ me. She not only changed the “keys” to our Website, she has deleted lesser (yet important) connectivity that a Webmaster uses.

The prior three attempts by Shirley to make me ‘quit’ were unsuccessful.

This particular time, Shirley has gone out of here way to undermine our SOSEN Website at http://www.sosen.info — to the point of confusion and chaos in that location NOW generating an error message that most would not understand.

This was done by Shirley or someone(s) to whome a new server password was provided. This was NOT the result of some third-party miscreant (like Abosulte Zero). This WAS Shirley.

Until the SOSEN, Inc. BOD holds control of these issues, all will NOT be well.

I don’t even know if I can repair the damage that Shirley (or her cohorts) have done. Worst case is ‘restoring’ a 10-day-old backup onto another domain name down the road. Another domain name means something OTHER than ” sosen.info” because Shirley CONTINUES to hold ALL keys to that domain name and has not yet surrendered this particular ownership over to the SOSEN, Inc. Board of Directors.

Until the BOD resolves this, the site http://www.sosen.info and its respective http://forum.sosen.info forum will likely be lost. That is sad. Hopefully, the BOD will resolve this soon.

Just wanted to update all of staff about this complication.

stop the drama. i just spent an hour working with support.
the sign in info is soseninf. i had her reset it.
the password is free!dom

i still can’t get on.
the 2nd sign-on is no longer available. you don’t need it. they are undergoing a lot of changes. what you used to sign in with before was simply my blling info.
my satelite is acting up so you may be able to get on.

brian left because deemed got kicked out. guess i need to start getting affadavits from all of those who leave but he wasn’t shy. in very raw language he told the entire staff what a bunch of hypocrites we are. he had us pegged right.

the people in customer service are not very fond of you. if this still does not work for you please wait and let me talkto them again tomorrow.

After a lot of searching, I found the information that Shirley sent me. I had the user name and password and did not even know it. Of course, I have no idea what to do with it!
It seems that there is something going on here that is beyond us. I do not know what it is, and may never know. But, I would not be surprised if apologies are not in order. There has been a lot of “jumping to conclusions” on all sides.

You can say we are jumping to conclusions but you have a real blind spot when it comes to Shirley. She uses that. Re read all her posts. She gives herself away over and over again. That silly WHOOPS is a dead give away. THe fact that she said she could “get someone” who could fix this is a dead give away. NOne of this would have happend if she had not had a fit and changed the passwords. Her saying I still cant get into paypal is a dead give away. Perhaps she forgot what password she used. I will even give her that benifit of the doubt tho she does not deserve it. No one is jumping to any conclusions the answers are very obvious. Now, perhaps she has fooled with the web site until she has screwed it up and it will take much more to get it back.
The only danger we have to SOSEN is Shirley and the lengths she will go to in her anger and vindictivness. No one has changed from when she was singing our praises. All that has changed is that she missed her power and will get it back by hook or by crook. This is absolutly crazy.

cherly. rich and i have been friends for a very long time. i did what i said i did and when i said i did. have you read the problem and the solution? the whoops said what? i hope showed that i was getting a kick out of the way you were acting. we talk a lot about hysteria and witchhunts. i saw it alive and well in sosen.
start logic gives good support but sometime it takes a litlte patience. you know nothing about about how this works but i had to take my turn like every one esle. i have a timeline of when everything was done. in fact i had put in another ticket when i discovered the solution. that ticket was canceled.
your e-mail shows how eager you are to get me out. i already knew that wold happen. you could pin on tim and always have your three.
rich knows of the times had back up and change pass words. rich also knows that we had to get someone else to come in and help. he was plastered friday night, raising hell with tom and jackie. he was also fuious with me because i rejected 4 attempts to get into bod,
it is a shame that we haveto do business that way.but it has been that way tge entire time he has been here.
i don’t belive i said anyting about gettig someone it to fix something that is not broken. i can’t think of anythig about the web yhay customer service can’t help us do. i did mention getting someone to create a back-up the same as before,
i was in the website after i got the correct info on the slots. it appears to be the same way i keft it so you have it all wrong again.

Maybe I’m blind with anger Rich but I don’t see where anyone but
Shirley is to blame here. Shirley and Shirley alone is responsible
for this mess. SOSEN has a BOD and ALL staff members are to honor the
BOD decisions

This is total anarchy on Shirley’s part. If Shirley does not turn the
keys over to BOD, Then SOSEN looses BIG time. SOSEN is finished as we
know it. It is up to Shirley and Shirley alone. No one else made
these decisions but Shirley and at a time when we are under an attack
in inexcusable. Her ONLY concern is herself. The security of each
member is at risk and the ONLY thing that will satisfy me is, for
her to hand the keys over to BOD and cease and desist from any and
all power plays for all time.

There is no good reason for this. None. It is only a power play. She
wants control and will jeopardize those who she claims to care for.
BULL! She doesn’t care one hoot for any sex offender she is in it for
recognition. Her actions are the ONLY thing to look at here. Her
words are meaningless.

Tim is ow able to access the web site. He has an appointment tho so I am not sure when he can get to fixing the damage Shirley did. She deleted him from the email addresses and some other things…not sure even she knows all she did. The problem here is that she can do it again at her whim, just like she did it this time.
She keeps saying this whole thing is funny. One of the hater groups has scheduled a message in SOSENINTERNATIONAL to go out every hour that says the group is closed due to pedophile activity. The whole yahoo groups would say the same things if Linda had not been on her toes and stopped it. Shirley continues to think this is funny. She is delirious with power right now. SHe has shown us all how destructive she can be and that SHE has the power…THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE She is the only one in international with moderator priviledges.

Actually cleaning up this mess was a lot easier than I thought it could have been.
In the file manager, the person with server access changed the name of one important directory (folder) from
/public_html/includes/
to
/public_html/xincludesx/
Simply renaming this directory back to what it should be resolved the website display problems.

Additionally, all FTP user accounts were deleted.
There is now just one — myself — however anyone with server access can add/change/delete that (again).

Additionally, all our email accounts (info, ceo, admin, etc.) were all redirected to only go to Shirley’s Yahoo email address.
One exception — the webteam email account was made bland, so email to that would go nowhere.
These have all been changed to direct any and all mail to Linda/Cheryl/Tim (with the exception of webteam only going to Tim).
This was a specification that Linda and I had been talking about for a while; however, I had hoped it would come from the entire BOD.
This has now, instead, simply been put into place until the BOD tells me otherwise.

All of this, of course, is only a temporary solution.
As long as the account holder of our server account is NOT the BOD, this can continue to occur and recur.

If this was all just a ‘test’ to see if: 1) I’d quit; or 2) how fast I could fix this mess…
I am curious — WHAT DO I WIN?

you have to be out of your frggin mind. when i went in early this morning it all appeared to be normal. the the only thing that concerned was, when the acct pw was set back to it’s original state it threw out a welcome mssage like it was a new acct. i questioned that in an email i sent rich. but our forum was there.
i had a real gut feeling that i should have had someone go in when tim did. i have an idea they would have found everything the same i don’t know a damned thing about ftp addresses.
the first thing i am going to do is get some facts. i will send a copy of tim’s letter to the server to try and determine if it was a delibrate act or if changing to original would have shifted settings back to what they were when i was the only one there. i do know that there is a back up system as part of the forum. tht is one of the features that caused me to buy this particular system. tim, was this feature used?
laurance, i hope you are seeing what tim has written. please give us your thoughts.bennie, rich, do i have your permission to call the person we called before and see if the claims
being made are legimate and, if so, do they appear to be self-inflicted. yeah, there is some serious stuff here.

If you were looking at this without emotion then you would look at facts.
1) Shirley lies in the bod and says she changed the password that day because she could not get into her pay pal acct.
2) Shirley has always wanted Tim out
3) Shirley forgets her original lie and says she locked Tim out in the wee hours of the morning.
4) Tim could not have done anything to cause the error message because he was locked out at the time
5) I had told Shirley the money was in the pay pal acct and easily accessible. She then accused Linda of stealing
6) We would have had NONE of the server problems last night if Shirley had not gone in a messed with things
7) We were attacked from inside and we were caused extra worry because of not having access to the server.

This is the way things need to be presented, except for the “lie” part. I would have said inconsistency. As soon as I see name calling and innuendo, it all goes blurry for me.
I seldom get angry. In business, I check my emotions at the door. This MUST be handled in a business-like manner understanding the consequences of all further action.

The definition of Lie is to say something that the teller knows is not true. This was not a “mistake” or “misthinking” it was deliberate deviation from what is true in order to mislead. In my definition, that is a lie. Just like saying Tim was under suspicion at SOclear for 6 months. Just like saying Linda may have taken the money. Just like saying she put the RSO council together. Just like saying she is not related to an RSO. LIE. I believe in calling a spade just what it is. IF it is a misunderstanding, I am willing to call it that….it was NO MISUNDERSTANDING. These were purposfull actions. The purpose of all of these action were completely self serving. Just like her answer to Linda’s pleas to fix SOSENINTERNATIONAL. Shirley refused. Both Michael Dell and I individually wrote papers to Senator Conyers.

As far as SOSEN is concerned there is too much argumentation going on for me. I came to SOSEN to work SO issues and to make a difference in the legislations and laws. Right now it seems I can do that much better by myself or informally with other doers. I am spent, and will be taking time to myself and my other pursuits. for the time being.

I hate to see you go.
You were instumental in helping craft the bylaws.
The last version I have read date back to March in sosenstaff.
In that version, I saw a differentiation between STAFF and the BOARD and never understood why you were a member of the BOD group.
Is this a resignation from either the BOD and/or both BOD/STAFF. Or are you just frustrated and venting like most of us at all the extra needless bumps in the road?

Shirley has begun a public assault on the management at SOSEN. SOSEN Inc is a non profit 501(3)(c) As such we have a Board of Directors. What happened with Shirley was BOD and Staff had a vote of “No Confidence” to remove her from her Chairmanship. As you can imagine this was not done lightly. It took us months of turmoil before we did this. As you all know, Shirley stepped down as CEO. She SAID she wanted nothing to do with the day to day operations and just wanted to concentrate on her writing. That is not what happened. She
stepped back then would change her mind, this is a corporation. Shirley would not follow the wishes of the corporation at all. As far as she was concerned rules do not apply to her.
Credibility is vital to SOSEN and our mission. We pleaded with Shirley to please let the staff read her op-eds if the SOSEN name was on it. She refused. I was ill when I read in one of her op-eds,

She can write what ever she wants BUT not with the SOSEN name. Those statements in NO WAY reflect what Staff thinks, or what SOSEN is all about. There are so many more things that happened that, it is to numerous to mention. How she reacted when we were attacked by PJ was the topper on the cake. PJ joined ALL the new SOSEN groups and quite a few of our old groups.. 6 different members of PJ joined every group. Shirley was mad at staff that day so she LAUGHED at us because we were locked out of a group. Only she could fix that group. She REFUSED! At the same time as this was going on Shirley has changed ALL the passwords to our website. She ALSO had us locked out of our web forum. She brought in another webmaster for no other
reason than to make trouble for staff. We spent months dealing with one thing after another.

when we had so much trouble with a sosen paypal acct i moved everything to my personal paypal account and used it only for that purpose. would yoe beleive that someone has hijacked the damned thing and i can’t get in? the fact is that i cannot access the acount, the good news is that it is my personal account so i can make a fraud claim.

linda, i assume it was working when you took money out? well, it had to have been or you could’t have gotten money. that would be the last transaction so it gives us a starting point in an investigation. i will try again in a little while maybe it is a computer glitch.

NO, I WASN’T AWARE OF THAT. I HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE TO GET IN AND IT WAS A 4 MONTH ORDEAL WITH PAYPAL WHEN THIS HAPPENED BEFORE. GLAD WE AREN’T FACING THAT AGAIN., IF I CONTINUE TO HAVE A PROBLEM I WILL CHECK WITH HER TO SEE WHAT I AM DOING WRONG. THANKS

i know. cheryl says thatlinda says the money is there and she can get in. we both have he same log-in info and i can’t get in. i beive a change has been made on that end. there were 2 names i could log in with, now both say yhe log-in info is incorrect.

linda’s situation has been so desperate so this really concerns me. i hope that i am doing something wrong but i don’t think so.

If this balance is correct, I think the apology is due now. If it is not, apologize anyway and then investigate it.

In my opinion, Linda is not capable of doing anything like this. Her desperation is caused by the things that make us all desperate, not lack of funds. That is an effect, not a cause.
