It has come to our attention that you are using the name SOSEN.INFO in the conduct of your business. SOSEN is an acronym for the Sex Offender Support and Education Network. SOSEN, SOSEN.INFO, SOSEN.USand any variant thereof of the acronym SOSEN that could cause confusion or mistake among the general public, is the property of SOSEN, INC., which is a duly registered corporation chartered in Delaware.

Accordingly we, the Trustees of SOSEN, INC are hereby providing notice at this time that all unauthorized use of the name and acronym is strictly prohibited. We must and shall protect the corporation’s name and acronym, and shall do so in accordance with applicable federal and state copyright and trademark law.

Your use of SOSEN.INFOis unfair and violates everything we stand for. It also infringes on our legal copyright. Please cease your use of the name SOSEN in such a manner that is likely to cause the public to think that SOSEN.INFO is in any way, shape or form the same entity as SOSEN, INC., is run by SOSEN, INC., or is a part or division of SOSEN, INC.

The “un-nameable one” keeps saying she holds the copy rights to the SOSEN name. David gave it to her. Point of fact is that David never formally trade marked or copy wrote the name. The only thing he had was informal “first use” rights. They mean nothing in court unless it is a simultaneous copy/trade marking battle.
Bottom line, she got nuthin’. But, should be interesting.

Maybe she will renew her threat to take some of us to court for libel or defamation of character or something.

I try not to use the name at all and have no association with anything SOSEN. I no longer have ownership of any SOSEN names so your allegations are way out of line. If you have a problem with SOSEN.info I suggest you take the matter up with the owner if there is one. And please recall that I was removed from all SOSEN.info groups. Being neither owner nor member nor interested party I view your e-mails as threats and harassment.
Actually, i would enjoy seeing this issue addressed in court and I have a counter claim that will knock your socks off. If that is the route you want to take then go for it.
