i would like to invite my therapists to join this forum… the main one is Dr. Richard Kishur of Oklahoma City, and his 2nd in command is named Michael (this is my main therapist), i trust them both totally, and have been helped a lot by working with them… they are both highly thought of in the area of rehabilitating offenders (Dr. Kishur’s word carries a lot of weight with DOC here), and i would like for them to see what we are doing here… i don’t expect either of them to post much, but it’s a (slight) possibility that they could become allies… i can register them and bypass the approval process, but i wanted to make sure this is ok with everyone here… does anyone have any objections to this?

I don’t have any problem with it. They may not like some of what they read here. They would need to remember this is a “safe” place where people can come and vent their anger… I don’t know.
I am not sure what the membership would think…but we do not limit membership to just offenders and family members so why not???

We have always said that we WANTED professionals here. They just can’t get snarky like hopeso.
My only concern, lobster, is that they are your CURRENT therapists. Will you feel unfomfortable? Could it come back to bite you if they read stuff they don’t like (blaming or rationalizing) and think that is also your attitude? It’s sort of like bringing your therapists home with you.
You need to take care of yourself first and foremost and not risk anything to try to get them involved. There is plenty of info out there about these issues without putting yourself in a weird situation.
I have no objection, but I’m not an RSO.
My only other thought is that if there is work going on in the private committee area, they should have access to that, too.
